You can call me Magi (Maggie), short for Magdalena.
mag - duh - lee - nuh | rhymes with ballerina
I am an artist, storyteller, traveler, free-spirit, adventurer, consciously-living animal lover, enthusiastic friend and hugger, and always filled with wonder. My journey has taken me from photographing professional surfers while swimming in some of the world's most epic waves to receiving a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law to marrying my hunky college sweetheart. It is a combination of these experiences – my adventurous spirit, my attention to detail and professionalism, my heart for truly, madly in love couples – that allows me to tell each love story, capturing the true beauty and genuine, un-staged moments of the wedding day.
You could say I met my fiancé organically (literally) while in a college gardening class. We’ve been together ever since – nearly seven years. We recently bought our first home smack dab in the middle of New Jersey in peaceful, rural farmland. We avidly garden, decorate, and do anything and everything to fill our 12-person breakfast nook with local wine, farm-to-table grub (usually plant-based – we’re veggie aficionados), laughter, and the company of our friends and family. I absolutely cannot wait to marry the love of my life next July in Costa Rica, where we’ll be surrounded by our closest friends and family.
My self-indulgences include blueberry acai bowls, date nights filled with binge-watching SVU, buying one too many house plants (even though I can’t keep them all alive), booking plane tickets without set plans, Sunday morning snuggles, and the autumn-orange sun on the beach. All I ever need is a good book and an oversized sweater wrapped up in the smell of salty sea air.
One of my favorite challenges is when a client thinks they will feel “uncomfortable” in front of the camera or that they are “not photogenic” or “awkward in photos together” – most of the couples you see on my website once said the exact same thing at the start. By the time we start taking photos, I have them twirling, running, belly laughing, and unraveled down to their truest, most beautiful, raw state. Getting the chance to show people how genuinely beautiful and real their own love story truly is and preserving those moments of pure joy is the most rewarding feeling I’ve ever had to date.
Growing up in a beach town, I’ve always been inspired by the colors of the ocean, the smell and feel of a salt air breeze, and the flow of the sea….And with travel to over 30 countries under my belt, my creativity and yearning for connection is infused with the cultures and vibrance of all of the incredible countries and places I’ve visited. I still live in New Jersey, but I travel frequently for work and ambitiously for life. I would choose golden sunsets, heart-stirring love stories, and living out this dream job of mine any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I’m a total foodie. We try to eat as plant-based as possible, and I get the most excited about finding good food in new places.
My world revolves around vibrant colors and chasing light. I’m always searching for golden sunsets, crisp sunrises, and luminous tones.
Between law school, entrepreneurship, and mentoring others, I’m passionate about learning, improving, and growing always.
Different spaces, foreign languages, bright color palettes, and new cultures inspire my creativity and fuel my fire.
From meeting in a college gardening class to planning our dream destination surf-inspired wedding in Costa Rica.
The salty air, the varied colors, the sound of waves crashing against the rocks, it all just gets me every time and I can't get enough.
What I love most about photography is that it has allowed me the privilege of witnessing the kind of love that will change this world,
the opportunity to preserve moments in time and give voice to uniquely beautiful stories that will be passed on for generations, the honor of meeting and connecting with inspiring and talented couples and creatives, and the always rewarding work of helping people see – sometimes for the first time – how incredibly gorgeous they truly are, inside and out.
Magdalena embarks on wedding days, projects, and adventures with her other half and (soon-to-be) husband, Scott. Scott has a background in design through his time owning a street-wear clothing brand, years of experience working with homeless youth, and is currently an elementary school counselor in downtown Cape May, NJ during the week. As an integral and supportive part of the team, Scott contributes creativity, balance, and unending enthusiasm. On wedding days, he second shoots alongside Magi, capturing compelling details and moments to add a complementary perspective to each couples' story, while his peaceful demeanor and stellar dance moves bring smiles, calm and ease. Together in their artistry and lives, Magi and Scott are devoted to giving back to their local community, crafting fulfilling experiences for their clients, and continuously traveling, growing, and creating together.
